What Our Clients are Saying:
My son was diagnosed with mild autism and started ABA therapy with Proof Positive ABA Therapies when he was 23 months old. Our behavioral therapist was a bright light for us. She worked one on one with him for several hours everyday. After just a few weeks, he was more responsive and demonstrating more appropriate behaviors. She would include his twin brother in activities, which taught both boys turn taking and how to encourage each other. Even today I will hear one of them say to the other, “good job!” and “that was awesome!” The boys and I would walk with her to the park where they would work on social skills and safety concerns. Our therapist was always enthusiastic and made me feel hopeful for my son’s progress. She also shared with me techniques to deal with difficult behavior and recommended things that I could do to work with my son when she wasn’t present. Her step-by-step instruction and modeling were easy to follow and duplicate with Luke during the day. I really don’t have enough words to say what a profound effect ABA therapy with Proof Positive ABA Therapies had on my son. Today he is 4½ and currently in a special day preschool class with IBI therapy but is being assessed this month for mainstreaming into a typical preschool classroom. I honestly believe without early intervention and ABA therapy this would not be the case. I have several friends with children on the spectrum and recommend Proof Positive ABA Therapies to each and everyone. The therapists are consistent, joyful in their work and able to connect with children on a very special level.
My son is on the autism spectrum and over the course of the last 12 months we have worked with Proof Positive ABA Therapies. We have now been in two states, Texas and California, and have come across a lot of therapists and BCBAs; we have yet to meet someone who can match the talent, dedication and brightness of our current therapist at Proof Positive ABA Therapies. Not only is our behavioral therapist compassionate about what she does but her professionalism has always been par excellence. She has understood and digested the principles of ABA extremely well and was very much responsible for my son’s sucsess that year despite a lot of other factors that were against him. She helped us to realize our son’s potential and went a few extra miles to help change his program so that his progress started happening rapidly. My son was not able to open his mouth under instruction control before she started giving therapy to my son; by the time she left, he would say multiple words during her session and with us. This all could happen due to our hard working team of therapists and the way they worked systematically in getting verbal language out of my son. Working with children is their passion and we have not had a day or a session which was mediocre. After a session with our therapist, my son’s Mands would go up, his stimming would be amazingly reduced and it used to feel like she was bringing our son to the normal world. We are so excited to see what the future holds and have loved our experience with Proof Positive ABA. The therapists there show such passion and will continue to help many children and change many lives.
Our son was beginning to exhibit behavior consistent with that of Autism. He required a very quiet environment, showed tremendous ritualistic behavior, and would not even attempt to speak. He also was not friendly or warm to fellow family members. He would show little or no eye contact and would not listen. It was almost as if he physically could not hear you if you were speaking to him. At the urging of a friend we agreed to have a meeting with Proof Positive ABA Therapies. The behavioral therapist was warm and welcoming. The minute she entered our house our son took a curious approach to her and in the brief moments of their first encounter she had kept his attention and even motivated him to reciprocate attention back to her.
Our therapist began 1 on 1 direct ABA therapy with our son almost immediately after our initial meeting. Initially our behavioral therapist came to the house 3 times a week for 3-4 hours a session. Soon after, the sessions increased to 4 times a week, and then as schedules permitted she was coming 5 days a week. Our therapist has literally held our hand as we have walked the steps of being parents of a special needs child. Through the whole process of having our child actually diagnosed with moderate autism, to dealing with the school district and Regional Center OC , Proof Positive ABA Therapies has been there to help us expedite procedures and also to counsel us in potential pitfalls or delays as to dealing with both organizations. During all of this our therapist has always maintained a very professional, aggressive, and carefully executed treatment plan for our son which has yielded wonderful results. Our son will turn 4 this December and is talking, expressing emotion, using the bathroom by himself, sleeping in his own bed, feeding himself, and can somewhat pretend play. One of the key breakthroughs our team of therapists has made is the fact that we can now take our son places, when before we could not even get him into a car. Our son can recite the alphabet, knows basic colors, shapes and animals, and can count to 30 without any prompting. Our son attends preschool with normal peers without being shadowed or monitored. Proof Positive ABA Therapies has facilitated this and simply been amazing. We are so fortunate to have been referred to this company. Our therapist was literally an angel and we can’t say enough amazing things about her. We are not religious people in the traditional sense of the word but we truly feel blessed to have such an amazing team of therapists. They have changed our son’s life forever.
My son started ABA with Proof Positive ABA Therapies at around age 3, and now he is 5. He has improved tremendously in the last 2 years. His academic level is above all of the other kids and he is even reading!!! His language has greatly improved. His social skills with kids his own age have become closer to age appropriate. His involvement with family and friends has increased. He recognizes and interacts with family members even when he doesn’t see them on a daily basis. His play skills have improved. His behavior has improved dramatically. He is able to recognize, interpret, and respond to different situations. He is able to express love and kindness. We are slowly beginning to fade out, since my son has been doing so well. We are sad to end services with them but excited for my son to be mainstreamed in a typical classroom. We are so excited to see what the future has to bring for my son. I would recommend them to anyone!!!
